Common Questions
Are you TrustMark registered?
Yes. Strata operates within the TrustMark scheme as part of our PAS 2035 alignment. Our Retrofit Assessors hold individual scheme accreditations through Elmhurst.
What is the difference between a Retrofit Assessment and a Stock Condition Survey?
A Retrofit Assessment under PAS 2035 covers occupant assessment, condition survey and energy report at individual property level — packaged for Retrofit Coordinator design stage. Stock Condition Surveys typically focus on portfolio-level lifecycle and DHS/HHSRS data. Strata delivers both, often within the same programme.
Can you provide assessors as a subcontractor to a Tier 1 retrofit firm?
Yes. Subcontracted assessor capacity is one of our core service models. We agree commercial terms, KPIs and reporting cadence with the principal contractor and operate as a transparent extension of their team.
How do you handle the occupant assessment element of PAS 2035?
Our surveyors carry out occupant assessment as part of the property visit using a structured questionnaire covering occupancy patterns, vulnerabilities, ventilation behaviour and tenant priorities. Output is delivered alongside the technical survey for Retrofit Coordinator use.
What funding programmes have you supported?
Programme experience includes ECO4, SHDF Wave 2 and 2.1 work, local authority retrofit pilot programmes and private retrofit projects. We are positioned to support the new Warm Homes: Social Housing Fund (WH:SHF) Wave 3 deliveries.
Can you support post-retrofit surveys as well as pre-retrofit?
Yes. Post-installation verification, EPC re-assessment and any required PAS 2035 evidence checks can be carried out by the same surveying team, ensuring continuity of records and faster project closure.
What is your typical capacity per month?
Capacity scales with programme. Typical baseline is 100-300 PAS 2035-aligned assessments per month, with surge capacity available through extended associate network. Larger programmes phased through structured mobilisation.
