Who We Are
Strata Surveying & Retrofit Ltd (Company No. 13998046) exists to give housing associations, local authorities, property consultancies, main contractors and managing agents a field delivery partner that turns up, captures every home to one standard, lodges on time and never makes them chase.
Trading since 2019 and originally established in compliance engineering, the business has completed more than 3,000 property surveys and now leads with Stock Condition Surveys and domestic EPC programmes, with PAS 2035 Level 3 retrofit assessment and MEES pathways alongside. We hold registrations with Elmhurst Energy, ECMK, Quidos, Sterling Accreditation, TrustMark and NICEIC, and we built our own Survey Programme Management System because programme-scale surveying needs scheduling, capture, QA and reporting in one place.
Surveying-Led, Not Sales-Led
Strata is run by people who survey. Our technical lead holds a BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying from Kingston University and oversees the field methodology, element definitions and QA standard behind every programme. Our operations lead holds a construction management qualification and runs mobilisation, scheduling and client reporting. Senior staff review evidence packs before release; nothing goes to a client unchecked.
Seven DEA-Qualified Surveyors, Deployed Daily
Our seven surveyors are DEA-qualified and lodge across four accreditation bodies; two also hold the Level 3 Award in Domestic Retrofit Assessment. They are DBS-checked in line with programme requirements, carry corporate photo ID and work to the same field instruction on every visit. Surveys are delivered by surveyors engaged as employees or on a self-employed subcontract basis, which is how we flex capacity for volume programmes without diluting the standard.
